Get your GED or HiSET (High School Equivalency) today!

The Literacy Council of Montgomery County is now sponsoring HiSET (High School Equivalency) / GED preparation classes. Classes are normally held every Wednesday and usually start in September.  Classes are held at the Montgomery County Health Department in the lower level.  The building located at 400 Salisbury in Montgomery City.

Anyone who needs help obtaining a GED is welcome. Classes will be held from 12 noon – 3:00pm. 
Students are encouraged to attend weekly classes.  Please note, classes will only be held when

Montgomery RII Schools are in session. All classes are at no cost to the student!  (We rely on contributions

from corporations and local organizations for our funding.)

The instructor will be Allison Roettger, who has had several years experience teaching GED students.

If you are interested in attending these classes, you can contact The Montgomery County Health Department to reserve a position at (573) 564-2495.  Leave a message, including your contact information, that you are interested in learning more about the HiSET/GED program with the person who answers the phone.   We will contact you within 24 business hours.  Other contact options include e-mailing Geneva Allison at gkallison@windstream.net, who is the president of the Literacy Council of Montgomery County.  Or students can just show up at a class to get more information.
